The surviving “next of kin” of:
- Ensign Maxwell A. Lopez, Naval Aviator
- Chief Petty Officer Frederick Warren Williams, Aviation Machinists Mate 1st Class
- Chief Petty Officer Wendell “Bud” Hendersin, Aviation Radioman 1st Class and
35 other family members of these men have united to form “The Fallen American Veterans Foundation, Inc.,” a 501c3 corporation. “The George 1 Repatriation Project” is the first and primary project. We are committed to the safe, successful, dignified and respectful recovery of our brothers, our uncles and our cousins for proper interment alongside our parents, brothers and sisters in their hometown family cemetery plots.
